Frontier Legends Gold Rush- This young, up and coming black jack is a half brother to Goldminer (out of one of former National Champion jennets, now in our brood herd- Golddigger). Although it is early in his breeding and show career, he has already received three Grand and/or Reserve Grand Champion titles...even beating out some of the older jacks at the shows! Take I-45 to Willis. Turn East (toward Willis) on 1097, then right (south) on Hwy 75. Turn left on FM 2432, bare right at the fork, continue on 2432 for approximately two miles. When you pass Texas National on your left, go 1/4 mile and turn right on Farrell Road. We at Hollyoak Ranch have been raising mini-donkeys for 12 years. We specialize in donkeys that are a little bit smaller than the average donkey. Our black jack "Doctor Donovan" is only 28 1/2" tall. We also have Hollyoak's Texas Bubba Boy who is 28 3/4" and dark brown. We have black, dark brown, dark spotted and red. Our average donkey is 30" to 30 1/2". We have a small herd of jennets, each of which has been chosen from select ranches in the USA and Canada, including some that have been born here at Northgate Farm. Our junior herd sire, Quarter Moon Code Red is an outstanding young jack with excellent blood lines. Our senior herd sire, Cadillac Jack is a winner in the show ring and passes his winning traits on to his foals who remain in demand. Our goal is to limit the size of our herd by breeding for quality, not quantity. Our foals are imprinted at birth and given daily attention.
